Tamsen's Fateful Journey (Tamsen's Chronicle)

New Hampshire colony, 1726. Tamsen realizes the government is hampered by the conflict with the French and it hampers their efforts retrieving the colony’s kidnapped citizens. Counterfeit money is found circulating in the colony. Another letter arrives from Rachel. John finds a peddler who will take them to Albany, but he will not take a woman. Tamsen masquerades as Tom Cross and she and John reach Albany. A set of favorable circumstances gets them on a ship to New France. During the passage, the ship is attacked by hostiles. They arrive in New France without papers. At the French Fort, they are suspected as being British spies. The French Commandant says unless they can verify their identities they will be executed in the morning. In New France, Rachel and Francois, the baker, are accosted by robbers and she defends them, but one assailant escapes and later takes revenge by shooting at them. Mohawks watching the house capture the last robber. Marie becomes ill. Rachel treats her with herbal remedies, but Francois summons the doctor who wants to bleed her. “After I finished reading Tamsen’s Dilemma I thought the series could not get any better but Charles Ross continued to apply twists to this surprising story of these two remarkable women. The hardships they faced and the obstacles they over come in this story is both powerful and enlightening.” Marc Mauceri, Filmmaker & Film Distributor
